Easter weekend progress

Happy Easter everyone 🙂

Its not a very sunny one is it! But that has not stopped us making the most of what ever dry spells we get.

I cut flowers from my garden for the first time this year, we had some friends around and the fresh tulips and daffs really brightened up the house. I am so pleased with how they are lasting in doors, the tulips are thriving in their vase.

The daffs in the garden are coming to an end and a handful have already started dropping their heads. Now begins the slightly scruffy part of Spring where I have to leave the dead headed foliage of the daffs for a few more weeks before I can cut them down and make it all neat and tidy again.

I have a seed update! After a bit longer than expected some little green shoots are finally making an appearance in the greenhouse and indoors.

I have a Morning Glory popping his head out, some Asters and Sweet Peas. It seems that my makeshift plastic cup propagators worked after all. Also appearing to have worked a treat are the toilet tube Sweet Pea pots.

I’m chuffed with these, hopefully I can bring them all onto fully grown plants 🙂

I have plenty more seeds to plant up this weekend, I’ll just wait for it to stop raining first though 😉
